Playing baseball and softball demands speed, agility, quickenss,
power and coordination. Professional players such as Juan
Pierre, Darin Erstad, Travis Hafner and all the way down to
youth baseball and softball players are using Acceleration
programs to improve their game. Hitting and throwing sessions
provide instruction that emphasize mechanics, skill development,
and enhanced performance. Off season instruction and routine
helps develop players for the season
Using a number of drills taht emphasize proper mechanics and
fundamentals, players will increase bat speed, hand-eye coordination,
improve reaction time and create muscle memory via repetition–
components of a great player. Also, discussing situations
and philosophies help increase knowledge of the game.
Reasearch
has shown that incline running provides 200-300% more recruitment
of the muscles responsible for increasing and maintaining
speed, than running on level surface at the same stride frequency.
This type of speed training increases the chance for the athlete
to beat out the infield hit, run based faster or get to the
ball quicker.
Training
includes a variety of footwork drills and exercises that enhance
an athlete's performance ability to stay balanced while pitching,
hitting, and for changing directions quickly and explosively
for running, fielding adn stealing bases.
Players
will learn specific mechanics and how they're all integrated
for maximum effectiveness. Players will use various toss &
tee drills to develop balance and timing. players will learn
mental aspects of hitting such as preparation, confidence
and concentration.

This is an intense off-season training program for dedicated
baseball and softball players. This program consists of 10
weeks of overall body conditioning 3 times a week for 1 1/2
house per training period. Along with the overall body conditioning,
a one hour baseball specific mechanical training sessions
for pitching and/or hitting is included. There is also an
option of 2 times per week for overall body conditioning with
1 baseball specific mechanical training session.
